Day 2:  Cape Town
Today, you are in for a heart-pounding thrill as you ascend to the top of Table Mountain, about 3,281 feet above sea level.  Here, you step off the top and rappel into pure vertical space.  This is the world's original highest commercial abseil.  You are surrounded by awesome views and the deep blue Atlantic at your feet.

Your guide is available for the day (until approximately 5:00 PM).  After abseiling you will be advised about possible touring options for the remainder of the day, time permitting.  Please note that, as this is a go-as-you-please touring day, and optional touring entrances and refreshments are for your own account.  One & Only Cape Town – Marina Junior Suite (B)

Day 3:  Cape Town
Today you are collected by your private guide, and transferred to Killarney Race Track for an exciting and challenging time.  The day begins with an in-depth training and safety course.  You are then taken around the track by our in-house expert driver and introduced to your open-wheel race car.  The single-seat cars insure that our events are never forgotten.  Then, it is time to get into the car for your practice laps.  Once the drivers are up to speed, they are ready to hit the track.  Drivers rest, re-hydrate and strategize between stages.

After your race, you are transferred to the Cape Town Waterfront for your Jet Boat adventure.

Enjoy a two hour adventurous ride on an eco-friendly jet boat which comfortably seats up to 12 passengers, but which has been booked exclusively for your use.  Experience the marine life of Table Bay, including Southern Right whales in season (July to November), sharks, dolphins and pelagic birds and head along the Atlantic to Clifton Beach.  One & Only Cape – Marina Junior Suite (B,L)

Day 4:  Cape Town
Early this morning, your private guide drives you to Cape Town Airport for the extraordinary opportunity to fly in a Jet Fighter.  Not since the era of the Spitfire, has any single aircraft captured the hearts and imaginations of fighter pilots like the English Electric Lightning.

Undoubtedly Britain’s most charismatic and best-loved jet fighter, this supersonic cold war jet interceptor is powered by the Rolls Royce Avon 302 afterburning turbojet engine and is capable of supersonic performance in most flight conditions.  The Lightning is known for its vertical climb performance and it still holds a number of world climb-to-altitude records.  It is capable of Mach 2.2 and an initial climb rate of 50,000 feet per minute.

Thunder City operates the last two serviceable twin engine two-seater (side-by-side) supersonic cold war jet-interceptor Lightnings in the world, together with two single-seat F6s that are primarily used for aerobatic displays at air shows.  This jet legendary aircraft is apt to change your perception of the earth when you see its curvature; especially after climbing to 50,000 feet in a single minute!

After this adventure, your guide is available for the remainder day (until approx 5:00 PM).  He will advise about other possible touring options, time permitting.  Please note that all entrances for the optional touring, refreshments and meals are on your own account.  One & Only Cape Town – Marina Junior Suite (B,L)

Day 5:  Cape Town / Cape Winelands
A mellow sybaritic tour is in store for you as you enjoy the champagne and characters of the South Africa’s Winelands.  You travel to one of the original estates granted to the French Huguenots for a memorable champagne cellar tour given by the eccentric globe-trotting owner and winemaker Achim von Arnim.  Achim's passion for his region, his farm and his champagne are infectious.  You'll not escape without experiencing the whole fountain of house 'bubblies'.  Every Saturday Achim calls for volunteers to assist him with sabrage when the champagnes are elaborately opened with a sabre!  After the tour, you enjoy a leisurely gourmet lunch followed by a Winelands meander.

Designed along the lines of a French country house or villa, La Residence is situated on its own private wine and olive estate deep in the Franschhoek Valley.  Expansive terraces offer marvelous opportunities to relax and admire the vineyard and mountain views.  La Residence exudes an opulent ambiance combined with seclusion.

Guests are accommodated in five luxuriously appointed suites decorated with fine French antiques, exquisite Persian carpets and an eclectic mix of objets d'art.  A private movie room, cloistered courtyard with swimming pool and a private library are some of the additional facilities of La Residence.  Service is a key component at La Residence.  The private chef creates wonderful dishes and, if the villa is booked on an exclusive basis, a chauffeur is on hand for local excursions.  La Residence – Superior Suite (B,L)

Days 8 & 9:  Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Spend these days immersed in the tempo of the African bush.  Enjoy daily game-drives and other activities offered by the lodge.  A big-game safari is a cherished part of any holiday in Southern Africa.  The excitement of tracking a leopard on the hunt or observing a breeding herd of elephants at a waterhole is a moving experience.  Sabi Sands, Timbavati and Manyeleti Private Game Reserves share an open border with the Kruger so animals move freely.

The 65,000 hectare Sabi Sands is considered to have the best Big Five game-viewing in the country.  The Sand and the Sabie rivers supply much needed water to the region resulting in an incredible diversity of wildlife.  A long history of responsible game viewingactivities means that the animals are fairly calm allowing for superb game viewing, especially of leopard, which results in extraordinary close sightings.  This is a unique feature of the Sabi Sands.

These reserves comprise a number of private game lodges, whose owners cooperate in conserving their valuable heritage.  Some of the world's finest game lodges are found here, together with some less well-known bush camps.  This is an intimate and informative experience.

You enjoy game drives in open-vehicle game drives with an experienced ranger and a local Shangaan tracker who work together to give you a deeper understanding of the wildlife and the natural cycles of the bush.  Drives are in the early morning and late afternoon when game is most likely to be active.  Tracking Africa's big game, the evening safari departs after afternoon tea.

After enjoying the bush sunset, the evening holds a sense of anticipation as the rare and elusive nocturnal species begin to hunt.  The evening meal is often enjoyed in a 'boma' or even in the bush around an open fire, which many guests feel is a particularly evocative treat.  Morning walks are encouraged ensuring that the more fascinating aspects of the fauna and flora are not overlooked.  Game walks offer the ultimate, close-to-the-wild experience, and a chance to focus on the smaller bush inhabitants.  Ulusaba Safari Lodge – Treehouse Suite (B,L,D)

Day 10:  Sabi SandsGame Reserve / Johannesburg / Depart
After a final game drive you are transferred to Ulusaba Airstrip where your private charter plane awaits you for your flight back to OR Tambo International Airport.  Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to the International terminal for your onward flight.  (B)
