Day 1:  Arrive San Jose, Costa Rica
Welcome to Costa Rica.  You are greeted and driven to Arenal region and your award-winning hotel.  During the 2.5-hour drive, relax and enjoy the drive up the southern mountains of the Central Valley, then down towards the flatlands of San Carlos to your premier resort, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World.  Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort - Superior Room

Day 2:  Arenal
Explore Costa Rica’s lush rainforest today.  The Arenal Ecoglide is one of Costa Rica’s newest adventure parks.  This tour is known for having two separate cables, the first cable is the one you glide on; while the second is for safety.  The canopy consists of 15 cables and 18 platforms which are divided into three sections that are found mostly in the trees, designed to provide visitors more intimate contact with nature.  For the more adventurous, an optional “Tarzan Swing”, similar to a bungee jump, is included mid-tour.  Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort - Superior Room (B)

Day 3:  Arenal
Today’s focus is on “canyoning,”  Hike to the first platform and enter the canyon in the heart of the rainforest.  The views are spectacular.  Enjoy the five rappels, including one that is a 150 ft drop.  Four of the rappels are in waterfalls, one is on a dry wall.  Return to your resort to relax or maybe have a massage.  Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort - Superior Room (B)

Day 4:  Arenal / Tamarindo
Enjoy a lengthy but beautiful private transfer to the Tamarindo/Pinilla area on the Pacific Coast, known for its unspoiled beaches, world-class surfing, challenging golf courses and fishing.  It encompasses the popular coastal area from Playa Langosta to the south and Playa Potrero to the north.  JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa - Deluxe Garden View (B)

Day 5:  Tamarindo
Today you will enjoy a day on the water as you explore the coastal waters on a catamaran.  While sailing north, the crew will serve beer, wine, liquor, sodas and water as well as “bocas.”  The catamaran drops anchor in a secluded bay where you are welcomed to snorkel, kayak and run on the beach.  After a lovely day, set sail back to the departure point and watch the sun set along the Golden Coast.  JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa - Deluxe Garden View (B)

Days 6 & 7:  Tamarindo
Savor two days to pursue your own interests.  You can choose from a variety of optional activities in the area and at your resort hotel – from horseback riding to golf to a tour of Palo Verde National Park.  Shop for souvenirs in Liberia, enjoy surfing lessons taught by a professional in the beautiful beaches of the Tamarindo Bay.  Or, simply chill out and reenergize on the beach.  JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & Spa - Deluxe Garden View (B)

Day 8:  Tamarindo – Liberia / Depart
Transfer to Liberia Airport in time to board your flight home.  (B)
