Day 2:  San Ignacio – Actun Tunichil Muknal - Barton Creek Cave Canoeing
You arrive at Barton Creek Cave after an enjoyable drive across rivers, jungle trails, past orange orchards and through the Mennonite Community of Barton Creek.  Hidden within this small community are the remnants of an ancient Maya civilization silently waiting to be explored in the cool, dark watery underground caverns of Barton Creek Cave.  This was a center for ritualistic activities including human sacrifices, fertility rites and bloodletting.  Stretching nearly two miles underground, this ancient wonder can be explored only by canoe.  Drift along in the silence and marvel at the stalactites and stalagmites, some 15/50 feet in length.  Telltale remnants of the human history remain in piece of Mayan artifacts.  Ka’ana Boutique Resort & Spa – Casita (B,L,D)

Day 3:  San Ignacio – Horseback Riding to Xunantunich
Savor the delight of discovering the Mayan city of Xunantunich on horseback. Day 4:  San Ignacio – Actun Tunichil Muknal
Discover the Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave in the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve with a prominent archaeologist who has personally excavated Belize’s major finds. Become immersed in the history and the ceremony of a significant period of Mayan civilization.  Ka’ana Boutique Resort & Spa – Casita (B,L,D)
