Day 1: Belize City, Belize
After arriving at the Belize International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative of the resort. The private ground transfer to Ka’ana Boutique Resort & Spa travels about an hour and a half into the rich rainforest heart of Belize.  Here you will enjoy five nights in one of Ka’ana’s lovely Casitas. Day 2: San Ignacio - Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave 
The day’s focus is the Actun Tunichil Muknal (also called ATM) Cave in the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve. Your adventure begins with a hike through the jungle, followed by a swim into the cave. Once inside, you crawl through tunnels and passageways of one of the most preserved and protected Mayan sites in the world. You do this in the company of a prominent archaeologist who has personally excavated Belize’s major finds. The cave was once the exclusive terrain of Mayan priests, who came here to perform rituals, including sacrifices. Day 3: San Ignacio / Uaxactun
You are in for an extraordinary adventure few other travelers will experience. After breakfast, your guide will transfer you across the border to Guatemala. The Tikal complex is one of the most famous Maya sites. Your guide will accompany you throughout the main plaza and temples to explain the history of this massive city and why it was so important. The city and ceremonial center of the ancient Maya civilization, Tikal became an important ceremonial center with the construction of major pyramids and temples. Its best years were the Late Classic Period (600-900AD). Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is Guatemala´s most famous cultural and natural preserve. After the tour, you take a break for a very special picnic lunch prepared just for you. Enjoy the magic of having a great meal in this remarkable jungle landscape.  It is prepared and catered using fresh local ingredients from the region. Then continue on to Uaxactun to explore the main plaza, pyramids and temples. Uaxactun was a major Maya city situated about 12 miles north of Tikal. The most impressive ruin is the  Structre E-VIIsub. the focal point for the plaza with three temples aligned along its eastern edge. Together these structures were used for astronomical studies. The equinox and solstice were accurately determined by sighting the sunrise from the eastern stairway to one of the three pyramids to the east.  Watch the sun set  in the company of an astronomy specialist.  Then, you are in for a rare experience…  glamping at Uaxactun. Day 4: Uaxactun / San Ignacio
Return by road to Ka’ana through the jungle and mountains to the resort.  For dinner, sit outside on the Fire Deck and listen to Rosalio Penados, an 83-year-old Mayan chiclero, as he chronicles life working in the jungles of old Belize harvesting chicle.  Ka'ana Boutique Resort & Spa - Casita (B,D)

Day 5: San Ignacio / Belize City / San Pedro
Your private ground transfer takes you to the Belize Municipal Airport for your flight to San Pedro.  Your home for the next three nights is a lovely two-bedroom villa.  San Pedro is on the southern part of the island of Ambergris Caye in the Belize District. San Pedro was granted the status of a town in 1848.  One of the primary industries in the town is tourism, most notably scuba diving.  Victoria House - 2 Bedroom Villa (Continental B) 

Days 6 & 7: San Pedro
San Pedro is an ideal place to hang out for a couple of days.  Golf carts and bicycles are the principal modes of transportation.  Locals and visitors, many barefoot, stroll casually through the shops and restaurants or just relax and chat with the residents.  Away from the center of town, there is an abundance of birds.  Much of the island is covered with a broadleaf forest that attracts wildlife. The yards of the houses and the hotel grounds all bloom with tropical flora. The sea abounds with adventures for fishermen, divers, snorkelers and sailors. Some of the best outfitters for fishing and diving trips are found here, along with plenty of charter boats. You decide how much or how little you want to do over the next two days.  Victoria House - 2 Bedroom Villa (Continental B)

Day 8: San Pedro / Belize City / Depart
You will take a domestic flight from San Pedro to the Belize International Airport for your international flight back home.  (Continental B)
