The Kao Gu Collection - In Chinese, Kao Gu refers to the study of antiquities.  Ruins and ancient sites have long captivated archeologists, avid history buffs, world travelers and cultural enthusiasts.  This series features a handful of distinctive destinations that reflect the fascinating world of archeology today.  The focus is on special access for our guests so they have the opportunity for a first-hand look at some of the most exciting archeological work being done today.  Each program features at least one special highlight.  For example, in Xi’an, China, home to the famed terra cotta warriors, Big Five guests will have special permission to enter one of the active pits where archeologists are currently making new discoveries.  Other locales may range from Roman ruins in Morocco, to new tombs in Egypt, to archeological sites in Ecuador, Tanzania, Cambodia and Laos.  Kao Gu is the beginning of understanding.
