Kiba Point is a new camp on the banks of the Rufiji River, not far from Selous Game Reserve.  The only other people you share the camp with are those you brought with you, and, of course, your private lodge staff.  Four airy cottages of stone and thatch are perched atop platforms above the river.  The open-fronted rooms have cool, elegant interiors, each room has its own plunge pool.  The dining area spoils you with plump sofas, a library and a fully-stocked bar.  This is a classic safari with a private guide and a four-wheel-drive vehicle at your disposal.  Activities are exclusive to the camp, which means you can do as much or as little as you like.  Fly-camping is highly recommended for those seeking a more old-world safari.  Children aged six and over are welcome (children 12 and older can participate in bush walks and fly-camping).
